Welcome

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

John 3:8

This story begins with a young woman and a window. A storm has passed and a remnant of rain clings to the pane for dear life, afraid of heights and anticipating surrender. All is wet and fresh and still, and the boat of her soul exhales, and she looks through her reflection to the beyond. You wonder if she is outside, looking in—or inside, looking out. What brought her here? What will happen next?

Clarity strikes, pristine and immediate—she is attentive to the very same questions. She listens for her Father’s whispers and watches for the signs He has posted to direct her path. She turns facets of revelation in her hands like a jewel, seeking the grace of fire-white alignment with Light, and Truth, and Love. These are those moments of wrestling, of treasuring, of revelation, of discernment; and she prays they will encourage you as you too seek to walk the narrow road with Jesus.

Some sage concisely defined humility as “a proper understanding of who God is and who I am.” The last six months, I’ve been taking stock of who I am, wrapping my mind and heart and spirit around what I would be choosing, and why.

Open-Handed

Writing is an unveiling, just as our sanctification is an unveiling. The book He envisions has already been written; I only need to uncover it.

Incarnate

Jesus emptied himself of Godship to become fully man, and in spending the uttermost reaches of his humanity, even unto death, returned to the throne. What does it look like for us to do the same?
